1. Sport – BMW S 1000 RR

BMW Motorrad has taken the wraps off the track-spec M 1000 RR. While it’s based on the S 1000 RR, it makes 6PS more, weighs less, uses a ton of carbon fibre components and even gets winglets for extra downforce.
Sources suggest the Standard and Pro variant will be introduced first followed by the top-spec Pro M Sport in November 2020. Prices are expected to remain unchanged at Rs 18,50,000, Rs 20,95,000 and Rs 22,95,000 respectively. Customers can book the bike for a token amount of Rs 3 lakh.
Apart from a BS6-compliant engine, the S 1000 RR will remain identical to the 2019 model. It features an extensive set of updates in terms of design, electronics and underpinnings.

4. Roadster – BMW F 900 R

BMW has launched the F 900 R and F 900 XR in India. The bikes will come to India via the CBU route but have been priced very competitively.
The BMW F 900 R is a sports naked that competes with the likes of the KTM 790 Duke, Ducati Monster 821, Triumph Street Triple RS and Kawasaki Z900. It is available in Std and Pro variant overseas but will come in only Std variant in India. The new motorcycle gets a conventional fuel tank, unlike its F 800 R predecessor which had an under-seat fuel tank. This allows for the tail section to be slimmer and make the seat more accessible.

5. Roadster – BMW G 310 R

BMW has launched the BS6 version of the G 310 R at an attractive price of Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom India), thus making it almost Rs 50,000 cheaper than before. And what’s more brilliant about the new bike is that it gets LED lighting for all systems, adjustable brake and clutch levers, ride-by-wire, slip-and-assist clutch and the necessary BS6 updates.
BMW G 310 R Specifications
G310R sports a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit that produces 34PS at 9500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7500rpm. To ensure efficient burning of fuel, BMW has twisted the cylinder head around by 180 degrees thereby allowing a straight path for the fuel and air mixture. This change in the architecture has also given the bike a lower centre of gravity for increased confidence over corners. The G310R tips the scale at 158.5kg. BMW claims a top speed of 143kmph and combined fuel efficiency of 30kmpl for the G 310 R.

The V-shaped headlight with the golden finished upside-down forks gives the front an aggressive stance. 6. Heritage- BMW R 18

BMW has revealed a new motorcycle based on the standard R 18, called the R 18 Classic. 7. Adventure – BMW S 1000 XR

BMW Motorrad has launched the 2020 S 1000 XR in India at Rs 20.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). That is the premium of Rs 40,000 over the 2019 S 1000 XR Pro variant. While bookings for the motorcycle had commenced a while back, deliveries are expected to start in the next couple of weeks. The 2020 BMW S 1000 XR retains the same powertrain as its predecessor but features a new look, new frame and is now 8kg lighter than before. The litre-class sports tourer will be available in just one variant.

The 2020 S 1000 XR continues to use its predecessors 999cc in-line four-cylinder motor that delivers the same 165PS at 11,000rpm and 114Nm at 9250rpm. BMW Motorrad India has blown us away with the price of the new BS6 G 310 GS. The smallest member of the GS family has now priced at Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom India), making it almost Rs 64,000 cheaper than before. What’s more impressive is that it now undercuts the KTM 390 Adventure by almost Rs 20,000.
