  1. Isuzu D-Max V-Cross BS6 – Upcoming

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is one of the most sought-after 4×4 pickup trucks in the country. The BS6 update to the vehicle is delayed due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country. However, as normal operations resume in a phased manner, the BS6 compliant version is likely to be launched soon in India.

Visually, the BS6 model will retain the design highlight from the updated version of the D-Max V-Cross that was launched in June 2019. The current design is inspired by the ‘Cyborg Orca’ as it comes with a new grille and Bi-LED headlamps. The sides feature a black B-pillar, side-step with chrome, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear section gets LED taillamps and an updated bumper with chrome inserts.

The black interior theme is likely to be continued from its predecessor along with the contoured seats that were introduced in the facelift model. As for convenience, the new V-Cross will get the PESS (passive entry and start/stop system) feature and a USB charging port in the second row. The five-seat vehicle gets a seven-inch touch screen audio system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Under the hood, the BS6 compliant Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is expected to be powered by a 2.5-liter diesel engine. In the BS4 form, this engine produced 134bhp and 320Nm of torque at 1800-2800rpm. The BS6 version is likely to produce similar performance figures.

  1. Isuzu MU-X BS6 – Upcoming

The BS6 compliant Isuzu MU-X is likely to be launched soon in India. The company had delayed plans to introduce BS6 models in the country due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Back in October 2018, the MU-X received an update in the form of an updated design and more features. It is believed that the BS6 model will get similar feature highlights and changes are expected to be limited to a BS6 engine update.

The updated MU-X receives a more aggressive fascia with what the carmaker calls ‘Eagle-inspired’ styling. The Bi-LED projector headlamps now come with LED day-time-running lights and a redesigned rear. Both the bumpers have been slightly tweaked to keep things fresh and the SUV rides on larger 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The new MU-X also has a higher ground clearance of 230mm.

The cabin gets sportier Lava Black leather upholstery done in fine quilted leather. The soft-touch plastic and silver inserts make the cabin appear more premium than before. The feature list includes an updated infotainment system, a roof-mounted screen, 60:40 seats with integrated armrest and cupholders, a USB port in the middle console box, cruise control, an electric driver’s seat, and keyless entry.

Mechanically, the vehicle is expected to get a BS6 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. The BS4 version produced 174bhp and 390Nm, and the BS6 version is also expected to deliver similar performance figures. At the time of launch, the MU-X is expected to be offered in both 4×2 and 4×4 guise.
