  1. Jeep Compass Facelift – Upcoming

Jeep India recently revealed its future plans for the Indian market. Apart from a three-row SUV and an active study on a sub-four-metre SUV, the company is also working on the facelifted Compass.

Scheduled to arrive in the start of 2021, the Jeep Compass facelift is expected to receive updates in the form of an updated fascia with a new grille, new headlamps and a redesigned bumper. Inside, the model is expected to receive a heavily revised dashboard and a large touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology.

Powertrain options on the Jeep Compass facelift are expected to be the same 1.4-litre petrol engine and 2.0-litre diesel engine. Transmission options are likely to remain unchanged and currently include a six-speed manual unit as standard while a seven-speed DCT unit and a nine-speed automatic unit is offered on the petrol and diesel mills respectively.

  1. Jeep Compass Seven-Seater (Low-D) – Upcoming

Jeep is developing a seven-seater variant of the popular Compass SUV to fight for customers in a segment currently occupied by large SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq, Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. Codenamed the ‘Low-D’, this is a unique SUV developed by the company’s Indian arm and will share a majority of its components with the Compass.

Bigger dimensions will not compromise the seven-seater SUV’s off-road capabilities, says the company. The bigger dimensions will free up space for the third row of seats and we expect Jeep to offer a whole lot of features to match the size along with an aggressive price tag to disrupt the segment.

Details of the engine and transmission options of the Compass Seven-Seater are unknown, for now. Jeep may use the same engines – a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel – along with automatic and manual transmission options.
