Land Rover recently launched a new 2.0-litre petrol variant of the Range Rover Sport. The Range Rover Sport is now priced from Rs 86.71 lakh – 2.05 crore (ex-showroom India).
The 2019 Range Rover Sport’s 2.0-litre petrol engine delivers a power output of 300PS and 400Nm of torque. This option will be available in the S, SE and HSE variants. It retains many of its original features, and comes with additional ones like three-zone climate control, Control Pro, Park Pack, sliding panoramic roof and cabin air ionisation. The 2019 Range Rover Sport also gets a 10-inch Touch Pro Duo touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch Driver Interactive Display. Land Rover has launched the petrol variants of the Range Rover Evoque with prices starting from Rs 59.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering the petrol variants is an Ingenium 2.0-litre petrol engine(mild-hybrid) churning out 250PS of power and 365Nm of torque. As is the case with the 2.0-litre diesel engine options two variants are on offer– S and R-Dynamic SE.
Notable features in the 2020 Evoque include connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats as well as a Meridian sound system.
Rivals include the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Land Rover India has launched the 2020 Defender SUV at Rs 73.98 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). The Defender will be a CBU import and will be equipped with a 300PS-400Nm petrol engine. Both the Defender 90 (3-door) and Defender 110 (5-door) will be on offer.
The 2020 Defender is the biggest update to the nameplate. Globally unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Defender sits on the Discovery’s platform. It was first spied in India just over a month after its unveiling. It shares its features and equipment with the Discovery, but maintains its ruggedness, as proved in this movie stint.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder P300 petrol engine will be the only powerplant on offer for now. More powertrain options including a diesel engine are set to join the line soon.

Land Rover has launched the locally assembled version of Velar. Priced at Rs 72.47 lakh for both the diesel and petrol version, 2019 Velar is only available in a single variant called the R-Dynamic S. The Velar was initially priced at Rs88.88 lakh. The local assembly has brought down the price by a whopping Rs 16 lakh. Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre diesel engine making 179PS of power and 430Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre petrol motor, on the other hand, makes 250PS of power and 365Nm of torque. Both these engines come paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Most of the features seen on the older CBU version have been retained and it now gets optional goodies like 20-inch wheels, park assist, and activation key as standard. Bookings are now open and the deliveries will start by May 2019.

Land Rover has updated the 2019 Discovery and made it more affordable by offering a new diesel engine. Equipped with the new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine which makes 240PS and 500 Nm of peak torque, the starting prices of the Discovery diesel variant are now lower by around Rs 13 lakh.
Prices now start at Rs 75.18 lakh for the Discovery and the new engine is available in all four variants.
The Discovery is also available with the 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 3.0-litre petrol makes 335PS and 450Nm of torque while the diesel churns out 255PS and 600Nm of torque. It comes with rich features and is also one of the best off-roaders in its segment because of its approach and departure angle. The entry-level Discovery has become cheaper than before owing to the new engine and the pricing now ranges from Rs 75.18 lakh to Rs 1.09 crore.
