- MG ZS EV

MG Motor India has just announced that the ZS EV will be sold in 10 additional cities: Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Dehradun, Agra, Aurangabad, Indore and Nagpur. All in all, MG is offering the ZS EV in a total of 21 cities. The ZS EV is MG’s second launch and the only electric SUV in its lineup.
MG ZS EV Specifications
The ZS EV gets a 44.5kWh battery which offers an ARAI certified range of 340km. The electric motor makes 143PS and 353Nm of torque. Claimed acceleration from 0-100kmph is in 8.5s.
MG ZS EV Variants
The MG ZS EV is available in two variants – Excite and Exclusive.
MG ZS EV Features
When it comes to looking conventional, the MG ZS EV certainly looks the part. Yes, there are some small signs like the electric badging on the boot lid and the rather tacky ‘fridge logo’ esque ‘electric’ badges on the front quarter panels, but otherwise, it looks a lot like any modern compact crossover SUV. The one other subtle ‘green’ design cue is the windmill-inspired 17-inch wheel design. The London Eye headlamp DRLs are a modern reminder of Morris Garage’s British heritage. That said, other ‘green’ cars wear their green credentials proudly and have more flashy designs but the MG ZS EV looks like just another European compact crossover SUV.
The ZS EV is setting a new mark for MG with refreshingly upmarket materials and styling of the ZS EV. This is, in no small thanks to influence from Volkswagen, whose inspiration is evident in the design of the AC vents and the steering wheel. There’s also plenty of soft-touch plastics and a healthy dose of leather-wrapped bits, both on the dashboard and the central console. The driver’s info dash is an all-colour digital centre surrounded by two very conventional-looking dials. There are three total locations where you can see the status of the batteries: the digital display and two displays on the 8-inch infotainment system. Complaints are that with the low-seat height you sit a little knees up, we would have loved a rear armrest, no rear AC vents and also, why no automatic AC, MG?
MG ZS EV Summary

Pros And Cons of MG ZS EV
Pros of MG ZS EV | Good enough range for daily and weekend trips. Many charging options. Peppy drivetrain. |
